I agree with you. Certain things don't add up/make sense. If it's true that 3 generals have been killed on the front line? What were they doing there in the first place? Were they sent there to sort out problems on the front line? Are all the stories of amazing fighter jets that cant be taken down, simply more Russian fake news? We know Russia is very good at misdirection & misinformation. Is this just the beginning of something bigger? Or is this a repeat of WW2, where the senior military were to scared to tell the truth to hitler and became Yes Men because saying the wrong thing was very dangerous. The same thing happens in China, where every local leader is a Yes Man because saying No will make you and your family vanish. So the information fed to the top isn't based on facts or reality. I don't think Putin is stupid (dangerous ruthless certainly) and he has never played by the rules. You would think after 8 years Putin had enough time to fill Crimea with well trained troops and enough military equipment to completely take over a Southern ports of the Ukraine within 3-4 days. Putin already had the Ukraine surrounded on three side with 300,000 troops if we believe the reports? At the moment he's gone back to the old playbook of pounding civilians instead of attacking the military directly. Putin's attempt to win the war on social media has certainly failed. Then you see tanks without the reactive armour (just empty bag containing packaging material). There has been very little attempt to protect Russian tank from a the Javelin. Most of the tanks I've seen pictures of them destroyed don't even have a protective steel grill/grid on the top of the turret. (usually mounted 3-4 ft above the tanks turret) but a lot of the disabled tanks still have their turrets in place, even though they are damaged. It's almost like there hasn't been any financial investment or maintenance into the Russian heavy equipment in a couple of decades? Then you see tanks hit hard enough to disable them but the ammunition inside the tank doesn't detonate, which makes you wonder if the tanks are carrying more than one live round loaded up the barrel? The only time I've seen the turrets lifted off the tank was from aerial strikes, which happened instantly from the initial hit. Those live rounds in the tank are usually stored in the turret because it the thickest part of the tanks armour on the sides walls of the turret.
