That's a very fair and rounded comment. The only thing I would highlight is that the UK as a whole hasn't seen shortages (apart from COVID lockdown days). Yes I agree Northern Ireland has been a manufacturered mess created by Brussels to cause maximum disruption of internal trade within the UK. There are more trade checks and documentation and regulation checks on goods moving from Britain to NI than all the trade checks of all goods entering the EU. This was engineered to cause maximum damage by Brussels on the UK economy. The EU/Brussels media machine blows every short term issue out of proportion in an attempt to dissuade other countries leaving the EU. For example the French ports manufactured delays which made great video footage of trucks queuing on the motorways But that lasted a couple of days. Over 90% of the trucks and divers caught in those queues were EU owned trucks and EU drivers. Short term shortages were overcome in the UK because we have the freedom to trade with more countries outside the EU now. Businesses overcame the UK/EU trade hurdles and in the UK companies were sometimes forced to trade with new countries outside the EU which increases there profitability. Personally I hope all the countries in Europe (including the UK) recover from this economic crisis very quickly. So we can get on with life.

@chrispark9343 We both fully understand you are quoting nonsense Pro EU/Anti UK propaganda. It was always about EU control over NI & UK. Any criminal activity in the form of smuggling was carried out by gangs in the ROI. (Not in NI or UK). It's staggering (yet laughable) that Irish Nationalists still attempt to re-write history with a failed narrative. Especially now it's clear the EU/Brussels has destroyed the ROI's economy. with the removal of the ROI's tax haven status inside the EU. Remind me what the ROI's national debt is per capita??? The EU used the ROI as leverage in negotiations with the UK and now the EU/Brussels has tossed the ROI away because it's no longer of any use. Apart from a handy dumping ground for the EU's unwanted economic migrants. Your arguments are with the ROI's politicians who sold your country off, to be used as the dumping ground of Europe. At the present rate the Irish people will be a minatory group in their own country in less than 10 years. In 5 years the UK will want a hard border to keep the economic migrant population inside the ROI. The EU used your hatred of the UK to blind you. Now your EU controlled puppet politicians have signed away your rights to Brussels.

@Bunnyroo7 It's sad that the EU/Brussels doesn't care their actions are effecting normal hard working peoples lives. I have many good friends in Germany France Spain and Holland. They all talk about the negative effect that Brussels trade restrictions have on large and small businesses. We should be working together more than ever but Brussels has tied everyone's hands in knots, with pointless over complicated rules and regulations. I can now order items from China to the UK. delivered in 7-10 days without crazy EU restrictions. If I try to buy better quality items made in Germany France Italy Spain it can take 4-6 weeks. Sometimes it's actually impossible to buy certain items from those countries due to the complicated EU export paperwork. That doesn't help the European economy.

Plus we are much further away from the Left trying to sign the UK back up to the EU or its rules by stealth.
