  1. The UK measures Covid deaths differently. If the rest of Europe measured Covid in the same way as the UK does, many European countries would have similar or higher Covid deaths recorded. In the UK if someone has died in a car crash or falls off a ladder or dies of cancer but tests positive for having Covid over the last 90 days even if they didnt show any symptoms of Covid, the death is still recorded as a Covid death.
