This was a manufactured blockade by the French. To cause disruption. The only people stuck in this were EU drivers. The more this happens the less the UK will buy from the EU. Businesses have already had to find more reliable supply chain with the constant (almost daily) threats being hurled at the UK over the past 4 years. We are already seeing less and less EU products in shops and a hell of a lot more None EU goods in shops as businesses react to the EU manufactured disruption. It is a sign of big changes next year. This is a complete EU backfire because the UK is the EU's largest customer. The UK makes up more than 20% of EU sales/exports.

@bnlbnl8892 Firstly Australian Sparkling Wine is much better and cheaper than the over priced and horrible tasting French wine they like to call Champaign . The UK makes it's own cars that ae better quality than anything made in the EU. Yes in a normal year the UK is the largest buyer of German made cars (43 Billion a year) but that will change next year. Very few medications are manufactured in the EU. Oh i forgot to mention we already have the Covid vaccination in the UK and the EU will have to wait until next September to roll it out. Plus the UK already has New trade deals with 59 countries in the last 2 years without paying a single penny/cent to Brussels. The EU cant even manage to agree one trade deal in 4 years with the UK. So Sovereignty feels amazing and any disruption the EU manufactures in the short term is a price worth paying to be free from the unelected in Brussels.
