Sadly this is what happens when you build houses at the bottom of a valley. You only have to watch the video to see those houses were on a floodplain. It might be a once in a century event but it will happen again.

@k.t.5405 Wow your living proof that the uneducated shouldn't try to teach, if that is your understanding of freedom. LOL. Sturgeon want to sigh Scotland up to a worse deal than the UK had with the EU. Lets not forget the EU doesn't want Sturgeon or Scotland to join the EU. She is too much of a trouble maker. It's funny how some people rave about being Scottish and then want to give total control to the EU and then Scotland would be used as the EU dumping ground for their unwanted migrant problem. You can say goodbye to Scottish pride when the majority of people living in Scotland wont be Scots.

@k.t.5405 LOL Freedom to have less trade with your largest trading partner (the UK) Freedom to have a land border with England??? How is that Freedom ???? Oh i forgot to mention increased tariffs/taxes on Scottish Whisky when it's exported to the USA. You are deluded if you think the EU will suddenly start buying more from Scotland, when the EU hasn't bothered to buy much from Scotland over the past 45 year. LOL You have been watching too much Braveheart. Ha Ha.

Sturgeon/SNP up their silly games again. Trying to split up the UK in any way she can think of. Who does she think she is kidding? IMPORTING THE VIRUS INTO SCOTLAND...... !!!!!! How dare she attempt to blame the rest of the UK (AGAIN). What a disgrace. This coming from the leader of the Scottish Government. No wonder Scotland's public services are going down the drain. Sturgeon is so busy dreaming up more ways to blame everyone else for her own failures, to actually find time to run Scotland. How does Sturgeon/SNP get away with playing the Blame Game for the past 13 years. Are people really daft enough to listen to her nonsense??? The SNP cause as much disruption and upset and failure in public services as possible and then point the finger of blame at the UK government (while demanding more money to fix the SNP's constant failures)

The UK is coming out of lockdown. The children in the UK are in school. This is proof the EU project is a failure. Macron wants more control over the EU. Do we want this man pulling the strings in Europe?

Watch the Anti Brexit/Remoaners start complaining. Even though this trade deal means continued Canada-UK trade that will be done in the same way it was while the UK was in the EU. With a better Canada-UK trade deal to be done in the near future. Without paying a single penny/cent into Brussels slush fund.

@felicious6384 There is a very good reason the ground at the bottom of the valley is flat. That is where the river has spread out during floods and dumped stones and soil on the same area many times before, just as the river waters reduce in speed. Lets hope this never happens again. This is terrible for the people the floods have effected. It's horrific that so many lives have been lost and i fear the death toll will rise. I hope lessons will be learned from this to stop people building/rebuilding homes at the bottom of valleys and flood risk zones.

@MCHD4 The EU is a member of the G7. Yes the Republic of Ireland has a right to say No to the 15% to 21% tax rate but those big American Tech firms will then be taxed any shortfall inside the USA instead. So the ROI still looses it's Tax Haven status inside the EU. The reality is the ROI is doomed if they do and doomed if they dont raise the tax rate. By 2025 (probably a lot sooner due to the cost of Covid) it will be a done deal. The EU will punish the ROI if they dont raise taxes. There is no escaping this rise. You can guarantee any country outside the G7 that doesn't raise tax will have tariffs/taxes put on their exports by the G7. This is the very excuse the EU has been looking for, to force the ROI to raise the tax rate.
