  1. Phil talking BS again. The UK buys twice the volume from the EU compared to how much the UK exports. So the UK will make double the amount of tariffs. Tariffs/taxes that will fund the UK's public services (NHS, Police, Pensions etc)

  2.  @transient_  Roughly 50% of the UK's imports are from the EU. The other 50% are already hit with EU tariffs and they get sent directly to Brussels. Next year it will be the other way around. So the UK loses nothing and gains a lot. That is because tariffs on imports from the EU will be kept by the UK. It's a Win Win for the UK. Plus the UK has already signed 58 NEW trade deals and many of those are copies of the trade deals we had while we were inside the EU. If you have no understanding of the way the EU inflates prices on goods entering the EU via Tariffs, then you really shouldn't make silly comments. Your beloved EU inflates the prices you pay on food and other goods and services you buy every day. LOL The UK makes up 20% of the EU's exports. The UK wont be buying much from the EU next year. The UK wont be charging 10% import tax on None EU goods next year. (That 10% tax/tariff went directly to Brussels) That will equal out any taxes/tariffs that the UK puts on EU goods imported into the UK. Plus the UK will use the tariffs/taxes collected on imports from the EU to pay for public services. It's a Win Win for the UK. We wont lose anything and stand to gain a lot. Do you even understand that meat imports can cost almost double what they should due to EU tariffs up to 75% on imported meats. That means you are paying roughly double the price for meat. (on EU and None EU produced meat) What about the 80% tariff on imported push bikes/cycles? All cycles are produced in China/Asia these days. You attempt to defend the EU that takes money out your own pocket every day and you get nothing in return. The EU 27's combine Net exports are only 33 Billion. The UK spend 43 Billion a year on German built cars. They wont when German cars cost 25% more.

Next year the new system will give 35,000 UK students £10,000 a year each to study anywhere in the world, not just the EU (compared to Erasmus where the EU only gave £3,000 a year to an average of 10,000 students) Plus the new UK system will only cost 1/10th of the price of Erasmus. Proving Erasmus was another EU SCAM. Phil wont tell you the genuine facts because it wouldn't suit Phil's twisted propaganda.

The UK has an FTA with the EU and any loss of business is down to the failure of those businesses to adapt to the new export regulations or to change their business model. Ir is it the EU failing to keep their agreements? When the EU only makes up 20% of Scotlands exports and only a tiny percentage of that 20% has been slightly effected. Plus the rest of the UK makes up 60% of Scotlands Exports. Maybe the SNP should have actually spent the funding given to the Scottish government to help businesses adapt to Brexit? Instead of asking for more handouts, because the SNP failed again and again. Or did the SNP manufacture this disruption in an attempt to label Brexit a failure when it clearly isn't?

It's usually 12-48 hours from those extremist groups manufacturing their next line of attack before Phil parrots the identical narrative on his channel. I'm not saying some of the things Phil says aren't interesting and he highlights some interesting facts. Even if they are cherry picked from genuine info to suit his Anti UK/Anti Government/Pro EU narrative. Anything to break up the UK in an attempt to push the UK closer to Communist rule. Once you understand these people and their long term goals, it's easy to see beyond the smoke and mirrors.

The same way you get a vote in the country you live in now, if you have residency. At least you have a reason that you genuinely want to be involved in the UK. I genuinely understand it must be difficult for you at the moment, due to all the changes. My point is that Phil is mainly anti establishment because he's a labour party supporter. Yes I admit brexit was never going to be perfect. There were always going to be disruption and changes and it's clear the EU commission want to make those changes as difficult as possible. In an attempt to stop other countries leaving the EU. Instead of sorting out their own mess, they spend more time manufacturing hurdles. I honestly wish you the best in the future. I hope things get sorted out quickly so both sides can move on.

  14.  @ab1965  You say your living in the EU. You must hold residency in an EU country. So you get to vote in that country. So you lose the right to vote in the UK. You lose the right to have a say what happens in the UK. If i owned a property in France and paid taxes in France but live in the UK. That would give me zero right to vote in France (as a none resident) You cant have a democratic vote if none UK residents are allowed to vote in the UK. It's that simple. There are more Irish people living in the USA than live in Ireland. They dont get to vote in Ireland.

The farmers unions called for people to work on farmers last season. Tens of thousands people from the UK applied and very few were even given a chance of an interview, let alone given a job. So Phil is talking utter rubbish AGIAN. The UK farmers charge crazy amounts of rent for poor quality accommodation and get kick backs from the employment agencies that bring people over from the EU. It's been happening for decades and this exploitation of foreign works has to stop. Once workers come to the UK to work on farms they are trapped using financial contracts that issue large financial penalties if they leave early. Now the UK's farmers will have to pay the correct minimum wage to British workers.

  18.  @Brajaxo  Firstly plants a trees dont need labour to grow. Machines do a lot of the planting. Its only harvesting that requires cheap labour. Now the UK is outside the EU we can import cheaper fresh fruit and salad and veg and high value crops will be harvested UK workers. Many of those UK workers were originally from the EU and decided to live in the UK. Overall food prices have stayed at the same price and with the freedom to buy from around the world without collecting tariffs/taxes to send to Brussels, food will become cheaper in price.

  20.  @Brajaxo  The UK is a net importer of food and that has always been the case since before WW1. The UK is a tiny island with a large population. We dont rely on food or income from UK farming. The UK has a population of almost 68 Million people. Compare that to the vast land mass of the EU with 446 Million which is reliant on revenue from farming. The EU has been making it harder to do business. In the past the UK imported a lot of food from the EU but that has already changed. You have to search very hard on UK supermarkets to find goods from the EU. Please remember we love the people of Europe. We just dislike the EU Commission.

  21.  @Brajaxo  have you ever know a poor farmer? We already import a large percentage of the UK's food and the remaining food that is grown in the UK are high value crops. UK farmers have to pay the minimum wage by law. They have had to do this for many years. What is the difference between paying the minimum wage to EU or UK workers. That just means more jobs for UK workers. Any shortfall will be made up with imports, the same as they are every year. Which is why Phil's project fear falls apart. Yes the media will print headlines to manufacture stories. UK farmers will have to adapt. The same way as EU farmers will have to adapt to less sales going to the UK because we're buying from countries outside the EU at lower costs.

So the overall cost of harvesting the UK's farm crops costs exactly the same to the farmer. It only makes a difference if those UK farmers are not treating/paying the workers fairly.

It's a well documented fact that farm workers across Europe are contracted by agencies that organise workers from poorer countries in the EU and previously to the UK, dont treat those workers fairly and dont pay them correctly. This happens with workers on fishing boats not getting paid the legal minimum wage. There will be exceptions from farm workers coming from the EU to work in the UK to still allow them to work in the UK. As much as the rules have changed, they will also protect foreign workers rights to earn a fair wage. The same as EU fishing boats working in UK waters will legally have to prove they are paying their workers the UK's legal minimum wage from now on. Protecting those workers rights. Phil would have you believe that the British dislike people from the EU and that simply isn't true. We love the people of Europe. We just dislike the EU leadership in the Brussels (The EU Commission)

So yes i'v seen people get heated and say things in retaliation. If your country and your economy was being constantly attacked, you would probably react in a similar way. At the moment the UK has about 90,000 illegal economic migrants being housed in hotels. They are not people from the EU. They travelled through Europe to get to the UK. The UK's tax payers are paying for those people to stay in 4 star hotels. So people get upset and they say things they shouldn't and wouldn't normally say. Yes people say things when they are directly attacked online, that they wouldn't say in public. Please dont think everyone in the UK is like that. The UK voted to leave the EU (Economic Union) because it didn't work for the UK. It was an almost equal vote 48% to 52% split vote. Almost half of the UK voted to stay part of the EU. We are still seeing the EU Commission attacking the UK on a daily basis. So people still get upset. Just remember that 17.4 Million people voted to leave the EU and the UK has a population of 68 Million people.

All the major economies in the EU are predicting they may recover to Pre-Covid levels by 2025-2027. The 2008 economic crash was a global event. So dont even try to imply the EU wasn't badly effected in 2008. All the large EU economies will have to pay double the amount into the EU for every Euro they receive from EU recovery fund and hand over complete control to the EU Commission. So you need to look closer to home, instead of pointing the finger at the UK.
