  1. I was watching France 24 this morning at 10am. There was a news article about France making people wait over 2 years to apply for a Residency Permit appointment. In effect they are stopping many people applying for residency in France. Instead they are deporting genuine asylum seekers who have lived in France for 8 year or more. Which is why people are illegally crossing into the UK by boat. France has put the application appointments online but most of the time there are no appointments available. So people are trying to get appointments for two years and still cant get an initiall appointment date.
