The crazy thing is certain EU countries have plenty of gas they could tap into but the EU controlled by Germany hasn't allowed those countries to drill/frack their gas because that would remove Germany's strangle hold over the block.

@billschnelzer9943 Not if the gas from Russia is turned off. The whole EU scam is nothing more than an illegal Pyramid Scheme to filter Wealth/Power/Jobs from the whole of Europe directly to Germany. Any industries Germany deems not worth, are decimated by cheap imports from China, Asia, India. Almost 1 Billion Euro's of Chinese imports go through German ports every day. Flooding the EU with cheap imports. Completely destroying every industry in every town and city in the EU to weaken every other country in the EU. You only have to look at Spain, which was in the top 5 wealthiest countries in the world before Spain joined the EU & Euro. Now Spain is number 40 in the world. France has taken a similar hit since joining the EU & Euro. Italy and Greece are basically bankrupt with no sign they will every be able to recover. The national debts France Spain and Italy are all on the brink of complete failure and the EU's 780 Billion recovery fund is being raised through the UK's clearing houses because investors don't trust the clearing houses in the EU. It is going to take the EU until the end 2025 to raise their recovery fund through loans. Loans that will have to be repaid with interest by the individual EU countries. The whole EU scam is a fake entity because it owns zero assets or wealth. The EU/Brussels is nothing more than a blood sucking leach. Sucking the life out of the EU member countries. Now the UK has left the block, the EU has lost a third of it's annual income and all the Net recipient countries have become Net contributors for the first time since they joined the EU. Hungary and Poland received the most until recently. Suddenly the gravy train has dried up and the conflict between the EU and Hungary and Poland is very public. The EU lost it's slush fund from the UK. Now it can't pay for the silence of countries. I honestly think the combination of Brexit and Covid and now the threats from Russian are the final nails in the EU Coffin. The flawed/fake narrative of stronger "together" in the EU has fallen apart. When people can't afford the basics like food and heating across most of Europe, that will force massive changes. Sadly many people are going to suffer. Inflation/increased interest rates/higher energy costs, over the next few years are going to financially cripple normal hard working people across Europe.

@julianshepherd2038 I didn't say it was banned. I stated that certain EU countries have more than enough gas that could supply the whole of Europe for decades and the EU/German Eco Green Agenda (EU rules, regulations. laws) don't allow those EU member countries to access the gas reserves because that would remove massive amounts of power/wealth/control from Germany. The EU/Germany is happy importing gas directly from Russia including Nordstream2 directly to Germany. To keep Germany as the power house inside the EU. If certain countries inside the EU were supplying the gas to Europe, Germany would lose control over the EU.
