The French people aren't fooled by the flip flopping of Barnier. They know he's a EU man but would say anything to get his foot in the door, like all Con-Artists. The EU thinks it can pull the wool over the eyes of the French people but the French have pride and they value their national identity. The EU Commission might control the MSM in most of mainland Europe but they cant fool everyone for ever. I know a lot of people in the EU don't like the UK leaving the block but they also see the UK didn't fall apart the EU Commission predicted, even with constant attacks on the UK economy by Brussels for many years/decades. They saw how the UK was able to deal with the global virus outbreak far better than the illusion of the combined force of the EU (which was a complete failure at an institutional/government level) All those individual countries would have done far better on their own, instead of having to wait for the slow wheels to turn in Brussels.
