  1. This is the same ploy the EU tries every time. They leave everything until the last minute to apply maximum pressure/leverage. It's the same reason why the vast majority of the EU's trade deals are extremely limited in nature OR the EU's trade negotiations fall flat on their face after a decade (or more) of trade talks. While the EU has roughly 40 active trade deals, only 6-7 of the EU's trade deals bring any real gain to the EU. Which is why the EU's Net exports are only 33 Billion a year. That fact on its own proves the Economic Union of the combined EU's 27 countries is a complete failure.
