  1. Problem with the thought is it’s a slippery slope fallacy. Russia has no reason to invade Lithuania. Ukraine on the other hand, has tons. It’s been a long communicated red line for Russia. It’s been the site of ethnic cleansing of Russians. The people of Dontesk, Lugansk, and Crimea have all electorally decided to leave Ukraine and join Russia. Lithuania has done none of those things. It’s not a target of annexation by Russia.

  4. America fails even the basic acid test for a republic or a democracy. A republic is supposed to enable democracy through representation by an elected official. In the USA, the officials who can run are selected by oligarchs in corporate America. Look at how much power someone like Elon Musk has in the politics of California, Nevada, and Texas. Nevada gives him 4 billion dollars, no strings attached. China have him the same deal, but he has to make good on promises or his property he bought with it will get seized.
