We know what Conservative liberals like Trump do when in power: antagonize China and Russia leading to wars in Ukraine and Taiwanese straight tensions and enforce austerity at home. And they aren't dumb. They know when a socialist is trying to opportunistically use them, and they will discard you when they are done using you.

  4. The important thing about tying your money to a commodity like gold is that the commodity is centrally managed. When the USA had the gold standard, private gold ownership was made illegal for a large part of its history. And the state had absolute control of the value of gold. Basically, commodity based currencies have power, because the state controls its value and controls its price.

  12.  @stevencoardvenice  Rush Limbaugh was popular because his flavor of austerity/social politics is very popular in many USA demographics and he was also very much a shock jock, people liked him because he was offensive. IMO: Jackson, despite trying to do the same thing in the latter, will never succeed, because of the former. Just hating on Idpol isn't enough to be influential.
