  8. Listening to Jake Broe's latest video, his assessment is that there were NO bodies at the crash site and also a gigantic explosion from the crash (as if it was full of S300 missile). Russia also claimed there were 6 crew and ~60 POWs, well 4 pilots and 2 guards for 60 POW's???? Doesn't add up.

The media here has turned a blind eye to it, someone even asked me two days ago if the conflict is still going on (to be fair we've had a weather crisis to focus on). Now if it wasn't for the fact that 90% of homes that housed 2,000,000 people have been flattened and potentially 100,000 or more people are dead or wounded because of horrific actions of a terrorist group. Israelis share their stories, but are there are words from Palestinians, any stories, any accounts on how entire families were wiped out, doctors, teacher murdered, journalist targeted the IDF?

  22. I don't think there is anything wrong with having a bric's group it could also be good for the economies of smaller countries. But they are fools if they think putting Russia in charge of the economy, military, media, news, science or strategy would be a good idea (or China for that matter). I also think any country which think they can put a foot in both camp and play both sides should lose any trade advantage, aid, military access if they side with Russia. I'm thinking India and Turkey especially.

Relating to Francis' first point, if Ukraine had been armed with excess of what they needed and gave an early decisive blow to Russia that would have achieved a quick victory and would have send Russia back, licking their wounds and back under their rock. If Russia had had the impression that Ukraine was going to have total support from the outset then this war would have been over 2 years ago. US and Europe (NATO) would have saved countless billions in money, lives and cities would have been saved and atrocities both human and ecologically would not have been committed. Indecision and poor decisions has cost the world dearly. Perhaps have Russian sympathies (Hungry) and proxies (Netherland, Germany) in Europe also influenced this?

  31. there are obviously good brains and commanders who could tackle Russia, the problem is these Generals only advise. The weakness is at the political level, the lack of leadership and will, this includes first Europe then the US, its isn't their (US's) war but I commend them for stepping up to protect the world order. If both sides of the alliance pulled their thumbs out this wat could be over by Christmas, but it's like they don't want it to but the longer they stall the harder it's going to get.

  49. I'm still blown away that the Afghans had 20 years training from the US with all the kit and equipment and at the first sign of a scuffle they broke down and disbanded. Iran which is Shai powerhouse and supports other Shai groups and peoples such as Iraq, Syria, Yeman (in parts) and the people of Gaza. But then Hamas is a radical Sunni terror group, like ISIS, like Al Qaeda. So Iran is not showing loyalty to the Shai population of Gaza to allow them to be ruled by Hamas. Saddam was a Sunni leader in Iraq which is why (or one reason) Iran was at war with them in the 80's. Russia and Israel just complicate the story further but there is no love amongst any of them.

  159. I think that was before Russia peppered the whole of the eastern border with mines themselves. I've been to Cambodia and Iraq where there are minefields everywhere, I understand the dangers and consequences they cause, but in this case to prevent invasion and repeats of Bucha atrocities they are warranted. It is possible to make mines where the explosive component breaks down though dispersion of gas making them inert, this type of explosives is used in oil and gas exploration

NZ has recently identified several MPs, politicians, journalist and university lecturers who's communications and electronic networks have been infiltrated by China. Like with any verbal conflict with China we are quick to back down. We sell a lot of milk and milk powder to China, it makes up 30% of our GDP and milk always comes first. They have stolen (ironically) our patented Gold Kiwifruit, swamped our housing market, had illegal chinese police operatives intervene when protests against Chinese politicians have visited. Thankfully we steered away from Huawei for our 5G, thanks to the five eyes network. Bottom line NZ has to pull it's socks up if they want to be part of AUKAS.

I generally keep religious comments to myself but wasn't there a story in a holy book about a party where the guests had to bring wine and pour it into a vat for communal consumption. However when it came to drinking it everyone was brought water to drink. Because each guest assumed the others would bring wine they brought water with the thought a little dilution won't be an issue. European states have relied on their neighbours to carry them on the artillery shell front and they have nothing to show for it. Once Ukraine is taken, the Ukrainians will be turned against us. This is Putin's way. It's dire. They should be pressed weekly on this, not every quarter.

All words and speeches followed by a fraction of the promises fulfilled. The Ukraine was under equipped and told to go fight and they said yes we can but we need kit? Where is it? So Russia created their defensive lines and the Ukrainians stood no chance against it. Zelensky said this is what will happen and he was right. EU politicians are now saying they are tired, well as a tax payer I am tired of their broken promises. SPAIN has a bigger economy than Russia but Russia is winning. Podcasts like this are MORE important than ever. If support dries up I think the Ukrainians will take a greater terrorism role on Russia, this will have a greater impact on global and the west's economy than not supporting them.
