  2. Dom brings up a point, should countries closest to Russia fear nuclear war more than those further away i.e. UK, Turkey, Spain. And the answer should be no. Nuclear war would impact (no pun intended) EVERYONE on the northern hemisphere. So the best defence to a nuclear war is a strong united front, not bickering like wimps, weak links.

  5.  @terryross2388  I visualise it a little like Resident Evil where whordes of zombies run forward (with their shovels), they are shot in the head, fall to the floor then the one behind gains a metre or two, falls, the zombie behind that picks up the shovel and gains another metre before falling down...etc. It's numbers, not superior strategy, or skill, or weapons, just numbers. And that's why Russia has the second best army in Ukraine and maybe the third best army in Russia (after Ukraine and North Korea).
