  1.  @yoshi3294  the scottish joined the british empire as a founder of the union through a scottish king, had slave ports and made up huge parts of the army. Scotland is part of britain and built its wealth up as part of that. The majority of scottish people statistically also still wish to remain in the british union.

  5. There was a mass abandonment of rural villages and towns when the soviet union broke up. As you say, whole big factories supported single towns and had canteens, dormitories and shops attached to them but that came to end
