Russian projection is a recurring theme. And yes, its mind blowing with the size, industrial bases and resources that Russia has how useless its economy is.

@Frenchy78ify it was extremely cold in December... no rolling blackouts. Stop talking crap and repeating 'rolling blackouts' like your life depends on it.

@reaperking2121 yes I cant see it changing anytime soon. I read a great book about it that empathises the real problem is the russian government throwing money at massively decreasing returns I.e exhausted soviet factories getting huge subsidies despite being technologically archaic purely because of political connections and the bad job made of developing industry in Siberia absolutely miles from anywhere and difficult to access when they should have done so in european russia instead. You have situations where co dependent industries are situated thousands of miles away from each other with really bad infrastructure. And like their military they build or develop hardly anything new, just have a plan to rely on the soviet industry forever. Alongside that massive brain drain, huge alcohol problem causing early death, bad health and unreliable workers and a massively underdevloped/undervalued creative and arts sector (which even the soviets realised was important)

@wekurtz72 I think it was mostly germany that used russian gas before. In britain we have the huge gas fields in the north sea.

@puraLusa mostly the utterly incompetent right wing government, brexit didnt help at all but the worst economic effects of that are still to come. Take a look at how much Truss managed to utterly destroy the economy with her idiocy in a few days.

Yeah I've always said I'd prefer a proper winter here in the UK, a few months of proper snow rather than this weird dark inbetween bit we get were you occasionally forget what time of year it is entirely

Yeah there isnt even morning frost here in the UK and I gather we never actually got any energy from russia before this anyway. The central heating in my main room broke recently but I'm about to move so left it and I've been fine.

@Frenchy78ify why do you pretend everything is hilarious like an 11 year old? No, you have now been told by about 6 various separate british people there are none so stop repeating 'rolling blackouts' 18 times a minute and 'laughing my arse off' over energy tariffs.
