  2.  @antanaskiselis7919  Just read an article by Mr. Toyota that just converting all vehicles to hybrids would quickly cut emissions in half. I don't doubt the science. Of course that is'nt an ultimate solution. And of course Mr. Toyota sells hybrids and the article stated Toyota is 10 years behind on all EV design. Likewise I just read an article that cities were starting to outlaw gas stoves. A study found that they leaked methane which is far more hazardous than CO and that their combustion was no where near 100% efficient. I don't doubt the science there either. It just struck me that this must be a very small part of total emissions. I live in a ranching area of small operators. Watching these stupid cows standing around in the cold rain 24/7/365 seems kinda dumb especially when the ranchers receive little money for dealing with this. The money is all taken by middlemen and retailers. Mostly with these people its a matter of being self employed which I understand. There have been efforts to move cattle raising to an indoor environment in this state. It has efficiency gains in feeding, animal health, manure handling, and apparently methane capture. I doubt these poor neighbors of mine will be able to make the turn but some ranchers have done this. Typically pigs and poultry are already in an indoor environment. Science is driven by money, either private or public. I have three science degrees and have worked in the field. Science is typically very small not global. I think the gas stove study illistrates this. Yes you can sometimes pay to get any type of science you want. The Republicans are busy making banning of gas stoves illegal which makes me laugh. If there is a backwards head in the sand position on any subject you will find Republicans behind it. They are also busy trying to start WWII over Ukraine which I doubt most Americans had never heard of before. Trees process CO2 to o2. It sounds like we should be planting trees everywhere. Of course this is why the outcry of the Amazon burn off to make ranches. Our tax policy favors the importation of S. American beef making the burn off profitable. Its all a very complicated thing with people fearful of losing their livlihood. The science is valid, priorities need to be set. EVs will require more coal burning power plants so the polution is just being transfered. Natural gas is cleaner than coal or oil but it is not clean. The ice caps are going to melt the coasts are going to be flooded. I see no reason why I should have to pay taxes for people who don't wish to respond to this. They are their own worst enemies.
