  2. All of the ships lost at Pearl Harbor were obsolete. The Washington class had been launched and the South Dakotas were building. The Iowas would follow. The raised ships were only used for shore bombardment and convoy escort because they were too slow and not properly armored against air attack.

  4. We stopped iron sales in 1937 for the invasion of China. I believe we stopped fuel sales in 1939. This gave rise to the Pearl Harbor attack plan and the take over of Dutch oil producing territories.
