  1. I think a standard issue laser guided 5000 lb bunker buster dropped from 20.000-30,000 feet would do pretty well against any battleship built, or even designed.  And there are bigger ones out there once you hit the MOAB class.

  2. People still talk that if Rommel's plan of having the available divisions rushed to push the invasion forces into the sea on the first day, D Day could have failed. I thought Sicily had proven operating within range of large naval gunfire was a very bad idea for panzer divisions and such. Would you care to take the time to look at the in place Allied naval forces and German units in reserve and predict a likely outcome? (I have mine, without crunching the numbers)
