@nikujaga_oishii "what could a Japanese 'proper treaty-era heavy cruisers if not for the treaty limit' have looked like - e.g. estimated size, armament, protection, speed, etc?" Umm, wasn't the IJN already laughing at treaty limits? Their heavy cruisers seemed way over the limits.
