  9. Japan's Naval blockade of China was key to their success there and the failure of the Allies. Since by late 1943 the US Navy had their own Kido Butai of great strength how possible would it have been to have a strong carrier sweep to "harsh the mellow" of the blockading forces by mid 1944? If they were also sinking Japanese shipping during the sweep it could have had a great affect IF it wasn't too costly for other operations.
