Clearly makes the point that it is near impossible to honestly say who the "best" general was due to the lack of information on how the German army actually functioned, the many different kinds of demands made over the war, the differing quality of the opponents, and even what qualities are needed to make the "best" general. Then he never says Walter Model. There is a reason he was "Hitler's fireman" for broken units and hopeless situations. (but what do I know? I'm just some accountant)
