  1. I came at the movie as one who had read the Robert Heinlein and the less than subtle re-write was clear. The book is so different from the movie that it's a different thing with the same title. Peter Jackson's "Hobbit" was truer to the novel than this one. And it was just so heavy handed at it, dripping the cliches of its time. Drinker, read the book. Then we'll talk. The Old Grump.
