  1. It's slightly hard to get in this mode right away, because talking like this to someone in America can be considered offensive. Initially I talked in more complex sentences, then switching to simple English depending on the response. At some point I came up with a mode where I make up the sentence to be simple, but even in the situation that the person speaks good English, not to sound too awkward (for them to assume that I assume they don't speak good English). 😅
