  4. Employee housing is communistic. Shared bathrooms, contracts so they can search your rooms and you have zero expectation of privacy. No 24 hour notice etc. it’s like living in jail that allows you to work during the day. It’s not the same it was 20-25 years ago. There are reasons people will not stay more than a season or so. It’s basically legalized slavery.

Anchorage is a shithole..idk what youre talking about.. oil ships out of Valdez and we got nothing to ship out of anchorage except peoples stuff who are moving back to the lower 48 and some fish... we ship stuff in though and is why everything is so expensive. its mostly there for military. cruise ships dont even come into anchorage they come into whittier also in PWS like Valdez. we dont have MFG in Alaska. we have fish , gold and oil.. oh yeah and weed. i forgot..we have to new $$$ maker in AK.

  7. Timberline lodge pretends they own the land and try to ban hiking and riding down the alpine trail but it’s illegal for them to stop you. Do not let them intimidate. Hey cannot do shit. Even had ski patrol try to take my shovel and I defended myself and then he called backup and they tried to detain me and I didn’t let them either. Cops never came and they couldn’t do shit. Because government land is OUR land. They rent it but we all have legal access to that land as it isn’t theirs it’s public.

  8. Skiing is for rich kids in 2020..... back in the 90s we poached tickets or traded for “green passes”. They got turnstyles and electronic ticket readers now but There’s still ways around them but I’m not gonna post it here and ruin it for some of us who are in the know. Mostly now I do backcountry and avoid lift lines etc. but every once in a while I will ride a lift.

  9. Most ski towns are dead. People come ski and go home. Resorts ruined many towns and the old ski party towns have been ruined by fascism. Go to a ski town Friday night and it’s crickets. 20 years ago it would be poppin and parties everywhere

They will never be what they think they are. They are stuck relying on the rest of the world for goods. Europe cuts them off and they got nothing. I think.
