  1.  @NotJustBikes  i think the urban planner knows. What has to change are the hearts and minds of the people. During the 1970s my city of Brazil was appointed by military junta do be Mayor and he made one of the most pedestrian friendly cities in Latin America, Curitiba, he is able to do this because the military saw Jaime Lerner as more as a Technical urban planner guy that would not bother them. The Problem with a city in North America is you have to sit one hour in a car to go to the nearest doctor. Is ridiculous. I can understand the very wealthy living in detached single family housing, but this only makes sense in a gated community for the top one percent.

  2. Only in North America are drivers allowed to do this, it is not only dangerous to pedestrians but for drivers too. They should stop this dumb rule.
