Someone said that I look like a GTA character when I walk, and now I can't unsee it. Thanks, Internet.

Lol. This might be a good time to mention that a team of amazing folks are running this clips channel and the main channel, and they have the green light to have fun with it, especially if it involves making fun of me. I still read comments, both the supportive and the critical ones. They all help me improve & learn. Most of all, I appreciate the love. It helps me keep going.

FYI, I often ask basic questions of the format: "What is a graviton?" "What is a neural network?" "Who is Oliver North?" In one sense I know the answers to these questions, in another I don't, because I believe something new can be discovered every time you attempt to explain things simply. These questions are for the listener, to get the basics and the context on the table before we discuss details. Also it's nice to get an expert to attempt to simply explain the basics as they understand them. Sometimes beautiful insights can be revealed just in that effort.

I may talk to Richard Wolff on this podcast and will do my best to prepare well. If you have serious topics, questions, criticisms that should be addressed in conversation with him, let me know. I always try to put my ego & assumptions aside and approach the ideas of the guest with respect and curiosity. Most of my extended family suffered under communism. I love capitalism. I love to build things that make the world a better place. Still I want to explore ideas on this podcast, with an open mind and an open heart.

Lex here. Thank you for the love and support over the recent years. I do try to read comments often, but Joe does inspire me to not pay attention to the negative ones, just the love. For fun, I'll respond to a bunch of comments on this video.

He is referring to Douglas Lenat's work on Eurisko. I'll talk to Douglas on the podcast soon. His work on Cyc (35 year old project) is fascinating. Here are wikipedia links to his page, Eurisko, and Cyc: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Lenat https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurisko https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyc
