  26. You're such a genuine gem, Jake, I really appreciate you sooo much, thank you! Although I'm not into economics, I come to you for psychological comfort, bc you're so optimistic and I'm indefinitely grateful, Operator Starsky sent me here and I'm thankful, that I gave you a shot. I'm not in a good spot in life (terminally ill) and I live very close to Ukraine in Europe ... after 4+ months of wąŕ I already (nearly) feel like "living in trenches" myself and I'm in a weird state of shock ever since this started on the 24th of February; this wąŕ is truly taking a huge toll on me mentally... But I binged your earlier videos whenever I felt down and it helped me tremendously ... you've really inspired me to reach out to English/German speaking Russians and it's the most important most rewarding thing to do atm! For the first time in decades I feel, I'm exactly where I should be atm, having time 24/7 to text with Russians - I'm NOT trying to convince them of anything (bc that's entirely pointless), I'm only asking them certain questions which is quite powerful in a country like Russia that's giving their citizens ALL the answers - and if I can only make 1 Russian think independently again, it's all worth it for me, bc I'm doing my very best. I'm so grateful, you're the way you are, you've NO idea, how much you're helping people! PS. I wish YouTube censørship wouldn't exist, it's making my conversations with Russians a lot harder, bc their replies often get dęlęted and I've to type them again for better context in our on-going conversations ... they're often so pąrąnoid that they'd think, I've been reporting them and got them dęlęted (how, with my ~1000 non-existing fake accounts?); it's really a mess and the biggest hindrance atm.

  42. Although I truly feel extremely bad for all the African and middle Eastern countries waiting for all their very urgently needed grain shippings (and this hugely is an understatement, due to my lack of words in my not native English language), I'm also very very much relieved for Ukraine! I've never trusted Russia's real intentions in this agreement - starting with this strange "good will sign", Putin claimed to show when "leaving Snake Island for good", (despite getting heavily defeated there by Ukraine), very tragically this agreement always felt like a huge trap for Ukraine to me - imo, all Russia ever wanted, was having all the mines removed from Ukrainian ports and waters in the Black Sea and this NEVER felt safe/like a great idea in midst of this war to me at all! I'm also feeling so extremely bad for Turkey, their economy would've needed a bit of additional income urgently, too! However, I didn't expect Russia to mess up this agreement that quickly ... they've something planned and don't want to wait any longer, otherwise they would've chosen a more face saving way to get out of this grain deal with Ukraine ... slowly but surely Ukraine will get their grain out though! & I wonder, how all the other BRICS member countries will react to this, their whole image is built on "solving the world's most urgent problems", (like e.g. famines, climate change, energy crises, etc) and their member South Africa is likely also waiting for their grain shippings ... so what will happen now? Can't complain, this war and economic conflict/international crisis has me on the edge of my seat every single day since the 24th of February!^^

  64.  @coloerakker2  Tbh that's not too hard to explain, bc my dad lives here in Austria ever since, so he isn't as connected to Hungarian politics as he'd be, if he lived and voted there. He hears those "Orbán typical politician speeches" only occasionally and what other still local Hungarians are telling him and of course that's not the same full unfiltered impression, he'd have if he'd still live there himself. He said, initially Orbán was "well hidden", like e.g. he didn't give in, when certain countries leaders (like Putin and Lukashenka) tried to weaponize refugees, first they had lured them there mostly into Belarus, then wanted to send them through Hungarian territory, which also spared Austria lots of bureaucracy, like costs of registering them, housing them, feeding them, just to have to send them back bc those are capacities only planted for real emergencies (like what happened to Ukrainians). It's also worth mentioning, that especially Lukashenka made tons of money with human trafficking, knowing full well that our western countries simply couldn't afford to take half of Africa in ... so Austria, Hungary, plus numerous other European countries like Germany were left with paying the bills and "picking up the pieces" after their arrivals through hidden channels anyways. When the Russian invasion started though, nobody had expected that Orbán would make Europe and generally NATO such a huge amount of troubles ... & due to Orbán's previous behaviour everybody was shocked, he suddenly turned into Putin's supporter; nobody had expected that and most Hungarians my dad knows all highly doubt he'll get elected again. My dad's very unhappy with Orbán, but he's an Austrian citizen voting here and can only do his best talking to his relatives and explaining the situation to them, bc he's afraid Orbán's using Russian propaganda tactics now and maybe he also did that in an unnoticed manner in the past.

  71. I agree with you, reaching out to Russians is crucial and I did it a lot and still do it. However I'll have to change to Telegram or something, bc YouTube's k3yword filters and AI censørship have become insufferable and most Russians aren't able to think outside the box to use decøding as a strategy to get their own comments not dęlęted all the time; although first thing I usually do is sending them a short tutorial to cheąt this freaking system, which reads as follows... (copy) Little tips: 1) ALWAYS make a copy of your own comments before you hit "send", bc you can NEVER know if/why YouTube gets you dęlęted. 2) ALWAYS decøde all the k3ywords (like naz¡, Ch¡na, ÇÇP/Russian, trølls, h4te, r4pe, etc) and there're likely many more I don't know about, making tip 1), ALWAYS make a copy of your own comment, even more necessary. 3) The letters a e i o u (and others) have multiple varieties, example given ą ę į ø ų. ALWAYS use them please! (I don't have time to type all your replies to bring them back). 4) ALWAYS double check, if your own comment also shows up in the thread where it belongs. (copy end) Witnessing multiple of their replies getting dęlęted every day is devastating, it slows me down significantly (bc they believe I did this), so I've to type their comments, decøde them heavily and bring them back, to prove they're wrong and I feel totally defeated on YouTube atm ... so although some of them seem fascinated by communicating with their "ęnemįes", it's become very exhausting here. & Btw I make no statements, I only ask them questions, let them explain their point of view (bc this works best) and then ask follow up questions like: "Do you really think, NATØ/US would struggle so hard to give Ukraine weąpons, if they've brought enough of them into the country in the past 8 (to 14) years?" and so on...

  117. That "Minecraft House" is truly impressively amazing! HOPEFULLY more Ukrainians are getting inspired by this prototype and are going to build such simple, affordable houses from trash, not only does it look great, that stuff is basically for free ... and THESE HOUSES COULD BE DONATED to refugees from the eastern region! There'd be need for entire villages of them! It bothers me sooo much to know, lots of not pro-Russian retired and disabled people from the Donesk and Luhansk/rest of Donbas area didn't flee, bc they didn't know where to go due to this unexpected blitz-attack - but EVERYTHING'S BETTER than starving, having no running water, nor electricity and being forced to get a Russian passport, bc without one all the old and/or vulnerable people there don't receive any pension fund payments, without they're screwed - they're blackmailed into eighter starving or becoming Russians officially, it's truly brutal and I don't envy the civilians there at all!!! Ukraine of course isn't amused about that, making it an illegal offence to get a Russian passport ... however I hope they'll show some mercy on these people, but it's understandable both sides are reacting in the way they do; (meaning civilians reluctantly applying for these passports to get food and Ukraine not wanting the Russians to "grow roots" there). In this context it'd be a huge help, if there were entire villages built from these boxes ... refugees could move there without worries where to go. & Without civilian "shields" around them, all the Russian occupiers would be a lot more exposed and vulnerable, bc Ukraine could shell them WAY more effectively without having to pay attention to and take care of locals; this'd be a win/win scenario for Ukraine! PS. Thank you Jake for always being positive and inspiring me and your other viewers!

  144. My best guess regarding financials and China is, that Russia/Putin didn't understand Xi's sarcasm, when he talked about their "limitless friendship without borders". The way I understand this, is, that soon there'll be no more borders to Russia, bc China's in big troubles as well, their worst problem being, that they're running out of drinking water sooner rather than later and this is a problem, that China thankfully can't solve with invading Taiwan, bc... 1*) there's not enough water for China in Taiwan and 2*) even if there were water in Taiwan, it'd be incredibly hard, and logistically very expensive, to bring it to China long-term. So China's major problem is much more effectively to manage & solve, if they're just slowly taking over Russia without firing a single shot or invading, but by using their "good old dept trap method", they've already successfully perfected during their belt and road initiatives in several different other countries. I'm only worried, what China might be willing to offer Putin for "his" Russian land - however I think, it's most likely not supply of weaponry nor cash, but the offer of building certain energy related infrastructure mega-projects, like e.g. water, gas and oil pipelines into China, with the help of "investing" their own cheap work forces as usual, bc normally making business with Putin can't be trusted, but in this specific case it's China's large military power and nukes keeping Putin's greed at bay (I bet) - China's also not in great financial shape, although compared to Putin they're "doing well" and this allows China to risk such projects, watch Russia default on their depts and then Manchuria becomes Chinese again and so on. ...Tbh the only thing, that makes me nervous, is China's & Russia's shared denial about supporting each other, bc this reminds me too much of Russia's denial about planning to invade Ukraine prior to their full scale invasion of Ukraine. & Generally those 2 countries are also ideologically closer to each other than to anybody else except maybe North Korea, but I'm trying to stay logical and positive and Jake's helping me mentally by keeping me sane in these frightening times.

  192. I'm so very happy, that Operator Starsky's been recommending your channel to me and we've both kinda "met each other a bit online" this way! Somehow you made me a lot more positive thinking individual again, to the point of me having a lot more hope again all together and I thank you endlessly for this unexpected priceless gift ... I'm doing so much better now! I often re-watch your videos just for my own psychological comfort and it's absolutely NO problem if you're asking us to re-watch a video and/or comment again, if YouTube's bothering you, as this is what I do anyways as some form of self-help and self-therapy. Both of my parents already noticed, that I'm glowing, radiating positivity and laughing again, not in a forced way but naturally and they're sooo happy as well! Basically you've already made 3 people super-happy, without even knowing them or me personally. To explain a bit what had happened: I've been in, what many others here in Europe also have described as "some weird state of shock since the 24th of February" and I just couldn't snap out of it again on my own. I'm certainly not the only one experiencing the beginning of the war this way, interestingly many/most people from various European countries I had contact with in the past ~160+ days, have described this shock-state in a very similar way ... so this seems to be a collective phenomenon. I even have gone through some strange memory loss for ~1 week to 10 days after that infamously devastating date - the only thing I "kind of remember" is, that I've discovered a bunch of unopened unanswered emails from this time period after the 24thof February and I just can't remember anymore, what happened during this time, it felt/still feels like a fog when I'm trying to remember what I did around the time war had started, there's just a dark hole of nothingness. I've never experienced anything like that before ... however I'm 100% sure, I didn't just go on an alcohol and/or substance binge, (at least not during this time period in question, lol), making this whole not substance-related memory loss even more weird to me. Still trying to make it make sense to me tbh.

  240.  @urkiddingme6254  Omg, thank you so very much for replying, that's sooo sweet, that you can relate to this and don't judge me! As initially I was extremely hesitant to even mention here, how much I had especially hated going to the kindergarten - guess I was a very difficult child, bc I bothered my family so long and so much on a daily basis, til my grandma decided to take me home with her after lunch time, so that I only had to stay there for half a day - and I was super-happy about that change. Later in school I already got severely depressed as soon as August came around, bc I knew it's only a months til school starts again in September and my mom brushed it off with "you're missing your school friends" which wasn't true at all ... of course I'd not have wanted, that my kindergarten or school got bombed to the ground, but if it would've mysteriously disappeared over night, I'd have been sooo happy about it! But of course all of this isn't about me, I only got the weirdest flashbacks watching this clip bc it shows, how much pain the girl is experiencing about her destroyed kindergarten* and it's devastating to see ... as I'm sure that's been and still is happening countless times in Ukraine for more than 1 and a half years now. * I believe this destroyed building was her kindergarten, if I'm not mistaken ... doesn't really matter though bc I didn't like both. Edit: This clip was indeed a huge revelation for me, bc I started reflecting about the question, if I was too privileged and spoiled. Then again, I was only a 2 year old, when I had to go to the kindergarten - nowadays putting half babies into daycare seems to be more common, back then it wasn't though, the kindergarten wasn't equipped nor meant for such young kids and I was the youngest there. & I was anxious of all the nuns there, who were relatively strict and some were straight up abusive.

Personally I'm really do NOT feel threatened by refugees at all, bc I genuinely believe they'll be the least of our worries here in Europe, in case the orange succeeded - on a more serious note, most EU countries have an unhealthy population-pyramid shape anyways, therefore we'll need skilled workers at any given time, as imo our main troubles will mainly evolve around all those unavoidable challenges connected to somehow keep our own EU-countries together and our right wing parties politicians at bay/under control, so that all our (compared to the US) small EU countries don't fall for said right wingers isolationism as well; imo EU and maybe even NATO falling apart = THE most realistic, greatest danger we're facing with an orange's win, bc this'd make ALL our then "former EU/former NATO" countries extremely weak, vulnerable and russia will attack one after the other with ease ... that's why we've so many active peaceniks in anti-NATO/anti-EU movements, who're sponsored by russia for repeatedly spreading their bs and occasionally organizing protests in our western countries. Tragically we've completely failed to notice early on, how easily russian propaganda has undermined not only our western-democratic politics, but also our press, social media networks, countless NGOs and all kinda other western organisations with their narratives - we failed miserably and it literally took the russian full scale invasion of Ukraine for us to realize, how influential they've become in the meantime and to me it seems, we (aka average people on the streets) even now don't fully comprehend nor realize the full extend of russian influence on our daily lives (in form of all kinda media we consume as "entertainment" to relax); and frankly lots of our western media moguls are eighter bought and/or still in deep denial. 280.  @devinnie7572  Recently I heard someone explain, that the term "casualties" is referring to "dead AND wounded", the point where this becomes very hard to deal with, is, "when the term casualties is combined with numbers". & This dilemma got explained as follows: When 1 soldier gets wounded and needs to be brought to the rear to get treated by a doctor, he counts as "1 casualty", but after a while he recovers and then can return to the frontlines to fight again, THAT'S where it gets fuzzy with all these "casualty numbers". Bc let's say this same 1 soldier gets wounded again after months, needs medical treatment again, how many casualties are we having at this point? & So on and on... & Now we also have to keep in mind, that minor injuries happen on the frontlines all the time, meaning 1 soldier can be counted as "multiple casualties"; that'd lead to extreme confusion with those "casualty numbers" and that's, why they went from counting casualties to counting only the dead in this list ... while injuries are counted separately. Not sure where I heard about that, but maybe I can find it in my YouTube history and I'll return to post video title/YouTuber in 1 comment, but separately from the link-comment, bc links sometimes get deleted automatically by YouTube ... hope this helps a bit in the meantime! PS. & Btw, you came to the same conclusion as I did on another thread, that this "200k dead number" would theoretically mean, that Russia has lost at the very least ~400k soldiers so far and I counted it like that: 1 dead = 2 to 3 wounded usually 1 of them severely and dies later in a field hospital, meaning: 1 dead = 2 dead, but we don't see it, as it didn't happen on the frontlines. Not sure, if it's more up to 600k though, but it's certainly not entirely impossible! Slava Ukraine heroyam Slava! 💙🐾💛💕🇺🇦💕💛🐾💙

  301. There's been a time I estimate ~2 to 5 years ago, when I saw lots of ads on YouTube offering payment to people for writing comments below videos* ... wish I would've stored their information somewhere as links, or at least memorized some of their businesses names to investigate them and their shady strategies further now, bc that's generally a very suspicious business model imho. Even back then and that's mostly been happening during the years between the start of the full scale Russian invasion of Ukraine and after the annexation of Crimea - I knew that's NOT a good offer in a moral sense, bc very likely you MUST write, what others want to hear/read from you and NOT what you truly think, which is the reason why you're getting paid to do so - & I bet chances are high, that's NOT your own opinion your allowed to spread on YouTube and get paid for it, but the exact opposite: you've to write WHAT THEY WANT for getting cash from them. Wish I'd tried it back then, to at least be able to tell you more about those ads ... bc I strongly believe/SUSPECT that's also, how the Kremlin recruited parts of his English/German/other languages speaking troll armies, who're now arguing around with pro-Ukrainian/Ukrainian YouTube commenters, sometimes they're even more or less openly verbally attacking and abusing them. I'm actually really baffled, that in the western world of free journalism, where everybody's now wondering about the extensive magnitudes of the information warfare between Russia and the West, the existence of troll farms, bots, etc; it seems to me that nobody ever bothered to investigate those suspicious ads, although for professionals they can't be that hard to find imo. * Those ads were worded along the lines of: "You're spending hours every day watching YouTube videos and commenting without getting paid for it yet? -> Come and sign up to business xy, what are you waiting for?!"

  326.  @SpaceMike3  The comment above you means the two YouTube channels named "Volodymyr Zolkin"* and "Zolkin Volodymyr"*, where you can watch lots of videos with English subtitles directly from Ukrainian POW camps. Mr Zolkin and his camera man Dmitri are 2 journalists, making interviews with these Russian POW, to prove to Russia, that all these captured Russian soldiers aren't MIA (=missing in action) or KIA (killed in action), but very much still alive and well. Bc Putin's infamously well-known for NOT keeping his promises, he's trying to not pay their relatives any compensation, if the soldier's fate/location/condition is just simply "unknown" ... basically Putin's not caring about his soldiers at all, he's scamming the POW's families out of their money, he'd initially promised to them, when they signed their Russian military cøntracts ... in case they're getting wounded and/or killed, Putin would've to eighter medically treat and pay the wounded soldiers themselves, or if they're killęd he has to compensate the soldiers relatives; as promised and clearly agreed on in their own military cøntracts. Like e.g. when the Russian war-ship "Moskva" got destroyed by Ukraine and sank, from these ~500 men on board only ~50 got rescued - the relatives of the ~450 drowned remaining men got NOTHING, bc their bodies are allegedly all "still missing" - and the fact, that Russia claims to this day, that this occurrence had just been a "tragic accident", but their possible deaths were completely unrelated to the on-going war in Ukraine and not connected to any warfare (according to Russia), further complicated any positive outcomes for the remaining ~450 men's relatives and they got NO compensations so far, bc theoretically these sailors also could've "deserted all together" of their own volition. * I don't remember which one, however one of the two channels is their own backup channel, just in case YouTube's being problematic (again). Very interesting insights, but I'm having a super-hard time believing, all of these POW "never shot a single bullet", were just following their commanders orders, digging trenches and standing around at checkpoints, as those POWs normally claim, (so don't be too surprised, if you feel like in kindergarten after listening to them for a while); this just doesn't align with reality in Ukraine. Hopefully this is helpful and explains to you, who is meant with "Zolkin videos".

  335. https://youtube.com/channel/UCabi4BVIJR4_okSxigyoKyA Hey, please come back, @Internet Censure! Ha, I just found @Internet Censure's dęlęted response in my e-mails and it's (as almost always) an extremely innocent and harmless reply! What the f..., YouTube? Person wrote (copy from my emails a bit encøded): "my not native English language" You are too modest, judging by your English. At the same time, naive for thinking the 🌍 is waiting for 🇺🇦's grąin ęxpørts. The tøp expørters of whęat are Rųssia, the ŲSA, and Cąnądą. They could easily make up for Ukrainian ęxpørts. The question is, why they don't do so.  (copy-end) Yeah, I know this and I'm wondering the exact same thing for quite a while now! I'm not sure, this is just my guess and I urgently want to stress here, this is NOT intended nonsense (or me following some weird theories), but purely speçulątion. (Otherwise YouTube will kick me off their platform really fast): While I know, Ųkraīne's nøt the 🌍's main grąin expørter, I remember watching news that both, Chiną and Indią have had a relatively bad harvests last year and both allegedly stopped any foođ expørts for this year - admittedly, Idk if it's only bad weather related, or also due to their extremely strict cøvid measures* - also I've read multiple comments of Canadians so far, claiming their farmers got paid "nøt to fąrm" for years, but don't ask me why bc I couldn't ask ... these threads had all reached their 500 replies limit and were closed. (* Chiną even officially told all their citizens "to stockpile food" ~8 months ago and this had me baffled and shocked quite a bit, but this was also related to their own strange "zero cøvid policy". Chiną and Indīa both aren't grain expørt countries though, they both struggle to feed their own huge population, but nø foođ exporţs seems relatively new of to me). Now Idk, if there's any truth to this claim about "paid nøt to fąrm", but in combination with the other 2 large countries it'd explain quite a bit imo! Bc then only the ŲS, Rųssia and Ųkrainę would remain to export grąīn to all other countries and with 2 of this group currently being at war, only 2 remain, bc Rųssia certainly will have a harvest and the ŲS as well. No clue, why this all looks so intentional to me, some very small grøups will get a lot more węalthý for sure though.

  383.  @davidford3115  👍👍👍 I'm completely in awe ... this absolutely adorable Minecraft House reminds me so much of the secluded log cabin with garden I once had before my life-changing accident rendered me unable to live there anymore. When we got it, it had one room, so we made a much larger roof on pols, closed the former porch, turned it into a bedroom, the small adjacent shed into a small kitchen (with a door through the wall), etc and the space between the house and the pols became a larger shed; we also made all furniture from things found in the nearby trash/dump. If I wouldn't be disabled, I'd love to go to Ukraine, as at the very least I've lots of experience with making something useful like furniture out of nothing (like trash and seemingly useless items) ... although it might've looked "primitive" compared to modern people's standards, I loved that place where every piece was full of memories of the history how we had found and changed it. 😭 I'd like to help so bad, collecting money and also supporting pro-Ukrainian channels online isn't fulfilling enough for me by any means; it's torturous for me to sit around here and having to watch horrors and miracles unfold. On the other hand I'm so hyped and inspired by this Minecraft prototype, that I already envision villages of them, bc this is entirely possible, almost for free and very satisfying for everybody who's into such creative activities. The Ukrainian coming up with this idea during war is totally admirable, can't even compare this to the log cabin I had in times of peace ... geez, the flood of good memories coming back when looking at this lovely Minecraft House!

  390.  @VladVexler  Lol I didn't want to mention scammers initially, however you've noticed anyways that I'm fighting them. Jake needs to be super-careful with that T... bot account, that is 4 months old, which in itself is very unusual from my experience, bc from my view normally average bots only last for a few hours to ~1 day with the same YouTube account and username/pp. (Some of those bots do change their usernames and/or profile pictures though and slip through the cracks somehow). It's impossible for me to do usual URL-reporting on that T-bot for some unknown reasons - meaning the reporting for identity theft/impersonating another person/etc stuff - bc YouTube doesn't open up their reporting window for that account. Instead I always ended up on the bot's YouTube website every single time I tried to report it and initially it wanted to send me a message, but I declined. I'm not a very computer savvy person, so I can just hope, that "allow*" and "refuse*" were not swapped/exchanged/(made the other way around) on that YouTube website by that bot-account, so that I allowed the message in, while actually believing I rejected it. So I was sweating a bit til I checked mails, my account, YouTube studio, everything. Thankfully a message didn't come, but I know a hacking attempt often won't show, so I'm still on alert ... not much can happen though, I don't do any online banking with that whole system anyways. No need to apologize, I can imagine how hard it is to fight them, somehow those bots are always adapting ahead of time. I don't know anything about making YouTube videos and how to fight those scammers as a channel owner, sounds like there're not enough options to do it. Maybe a bot belonging to you could help? * I'm terrible explaining that stuff in English, very sorry, everything's called differently in German. PS. I've made a copy of that bot's URL though, just in case it's needed and bc it's impossible to report it. Could be the same problems when Jake's trying to get rid of it.

  392. I might be totally wrong about this, Jake, bc I'm certainly the opposite of an expert on this whole topic, however I heard more than once, that many European countries had outsourced their weapon productions to the US in the past decades ... and at least Germany - and there might also be other European countries with the same or similar limitations, I'm not aware of - was allegedly not allowed to own or produce larger amounts of weaponry due to starting WW2 together with rų. & That's why we don't have the luxury of having many weapon and ammo factories here in Europe anymore and relied so heavily on the US to send them to Ukraine on our behalf - I don't think or at least I'm not sure, if we expected the US to "lead us"* or make the first move - basically it would've taken new negotiations, agreements, laws and especially solutions to satisfy Ukraine's shell hunger problem. * Is the US the leader of NATO? I'm not sure tbh but I'll look into it. There just were no wars in Europe for 8 decades (except for ex-Yugoslavia during the 90ies) and so any war related factories here "kinda starved" and closed down, but you're right, we just oversplept that we should've build new such factories during the past ~1000 days, I agree, I'm just not sure if ALL European countries were legally allowed to do so, due to post WW2 multilateral agreements we diligently honoured. But in turn Europe helped Ukraine financially, to assure they can pay for their basic needs, like their pension and education system, medical institutions, military salaries, etc, to generally keep Ukraine afloat as a country ... which to me makes perfect sense, at least that's how I understand Ukraine related agreements between Europe and the US (... but as mentioned I could be totally wrong). Tbh I don't even understand this whole "Europeans against Americans" beef you mentioned in your community post ... guess there were just lots of European viewers venting their frustrations and grievances in their comments about speaker Mike Johnson delaying Ukraine military support for several months and the US not allowing strikes into rų with US weapons, but I don't think it's that serious, or at the very least I really really hope that's not the case! Unfortunately people don't always think ahead when writing their comments and as an individual I can't influence nor change others posts. Anyways ... we Europeans must wake up now - and we allies shouldn't accuse each other, let alone "fight" in unnessessary online arguments - bc that'd make rų SUPER HAPPY. & So we absolutely mustn't give them some more ammunition to drive a wedge between us.

  441. Hi Jake! I saw a friend of mine commenting during your August livestream something along the lines of: "Jake, we love you, however when this war is over, I'm afraid you might lose a certain percentage of your viewers mainly interested in this conflict and Idk how many! (& I believe this was a 2nd comment) I'll still watch you bc your optimism is very contagious, your voice is calming and I need that, but I don't want you getting into a personal crisis/being disappointed!" & When I read this, I thought to myself, that my friend @Doc in paradise is sadly right and that you've likely overlooked his livestream comments ... now I don't wanna make you fearful, but he really has a point here and I thought you should know; and pretty sure you've already figured this out yourself as well. Btw, for me it's very much the same, I watch this video for psychological comfort and although I'm also interested in economy, I'd never dare to put my money into the stock market atm, bc I'm just learning the rules of economy right now and we've a worldwide totally unprecedented crisis so it'd be the worst point in time for a bloody beginner like me ... of course I'll stay and my friend likely will as well, but Idk how many others feel the same way. Your YouTube statistics already gave you the correct answers, I fully understand your decision to make 2 channels instead of one and wish you the very best luck with both of them in the future. & Of course I know that you're very much looking forward to peace as much as I do (you just don't have an aggressive personality and are very emotionally invested in a good future for Ukraine), I already see you following the work of rebuilding the country again and reporting about their progress; maybe you'll be even travelling there?

  504. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for these honest, very sobering insights, Jake and Brandon! Just please think more than twice, before you invite Artem/the ru dude again, he started his channel with "all proceeds from my channel will be donated to Ukraine", then when the ru "partial" mobilisation happened in September 2022, he went to "parts of the proceeds ... to Ukraine" and I still naively gave him the benefit of the doubt (and I even defended him like a fool in his comment sections, bc his own viewers were questioning this sudden change), as I thought to myself, that it's just logical, he'll use the other part of his income to help ru friends to leave the country - mainly bc back then I desperately wanted to believe, there're still good ru out there "doing the right thing" - but dang I couldn't have been more wrong about him. Now he's NO LONGER doing any of his "charitable livestreams*" which are still in his Google search results, as well as a connection to your good name and reputation, bc you had invited him once, certainly also thinking he's a great guy. He still collects donations for Ukraine (as mentioned in his pinned comments), however doesn't donate anywhere and I don't think he's doing it secretly. * He ended his charitable livestreams before the end of 2022. Around the same time he started a Patreon account also pretending it's for Ukraine. & Just to make this clear once and for all, there're good Russians I fully respect like e.g. Zack and I'd love to see him as your guest again. Only putting this out there to warn you and your viewers to not fall for Artem any longer.

  556. Respect to your dad and to you, Lisa! I already wanted to ask you why you're so invested in this war and it feels, now I know at least one part of the answer why it's very important to you. I believe, in a different comment below one of Starsky's livestreams I've already told you about my exile-Hungarian dad surviving 2 Russian invasions in Hungary - 1st as a 5 year old kid at the end of WW2, when my Hungarian family's males had all their females hidden in a secret basement from the Russian soldiers, they squatted in their house before looting it and moving on to the next house, then the 2nd Russian invasion in 1956 hit when he was barely 17, so he and his siblings sabotaged the Russians - and as a result of their resistance they had to flee to the west together. They had never been to the west before, they had only heard the Russian propaganda's horror stories & fairy tales about the west and as you can probably imagine, they all basically fled into an unknown culture/adventure, bc they were all very young and had never been to the west before. Also be assured, I'll never send my hoax summon in Russian to any Ukrainian commenter, although I don't speak neither of both languishes (😅), however there's an interesting difference between their 2 alphabets worth knowing, the Russian one doesn't have an "i", but the Ukrainian alphabet does have an "i" - so if you're ever wondering, how to separate the 2 languages just look for the "i" in the text and if there's none, it's Russian ... but I'd never send a "summon" to a commenter just for texting in Russian anyways, I only send it to very obvious trølls; (thankfully someone explained this difference to me helping to avoid unintentional "friendly fire"). My native language is German btw, so I can reply to it without any problems. PS. Thank you so very much for sending me to Mediocre Media yesterday, the channel's a treasure trove for war related footage.

  698. 10:35 Imo Ukraine removing those old historian and Soviet-era monuments is a fantastic idea! However here's my admittedly very spontaneous idea to this: Ukraine should NOT totally demolish all those pieces, although I more than fully understand their anger, frustrations and other Russian-symbolism related emotions - if I were in Ukraine's shoes, I'd sell all these "artworks" piece by piece to the highest bidder, (aka folks similar to me*) - by doing this, they could literally get lots and lots of "cash for Russian trash", so then Ukraine can immediately use these additional funds to support their armed forces, their civilians, to start rebuilding their destroyed houses, villages and maybe even cities... * As part of the ex-iron curtain community, my family/friends/me can fully understand Ukraine and how much they despise seeing those statues and other signs of former and current Russian occupation on a daily basis! From financing medical treatments for their wounded soldiers & international volunteers, to providing psychotherapy to everybody needing it there, also to feed animals suffering due to the Russian invasion, the options to use the "Russian artwork's" clash are limitless and fully justifiable imo. I'd like to buy just a very small piece of such a statue or something that's somehow shaped in a form which can be easily transformed into a toilet, bidet or something - this'd make a hilarious remodelled "piece of historic Russian art" finally being brought to (justice and) becoming a useful house utensil - and it'd show my "appreciation" for all those Russian toilet thieves perfectly. This'd be a great idea for Ukraine to generate some additional income out of something, that's nothing worth to them than disgust ... hopefully they're thinking about this possibility as well, bc that'd certainly symbolically be very satisfying for them I guess! Slava Ukraine! 💕🇺🇦💕

  713. Regarding YOUR WARNING of FRAUDSTERS stealing (and abusing) your PROFILE PICTURE to SCAM less experienced unexpecting VIEWERS/COMMENTERS of your community OUT OF THEIR LIFE SAVINGS... Most don't know, there're 2 Methods of reporting, I highly recommend using the first one: 1) a•] To start press/click Jake's original profile picture to get to his channel, make a copy of his URL - you find it inside Jake's "channel info". b•] Then press/click the impersonator's profile picture and go to their channel. c•] The usual 3 dots will bring you to the menu immediately. d•] Choose "reporting", you'll get a lot more options there. e•] One of them being "impersonating another account"*, then continue and you'll be able to write, begin with copy-pasting Jake's URL into the empty space. (* or something very similar to that, sorry not a native English speaker here, just trying to help keeping people and Jake's community safe). YouTube asks for the URL of the person/YouTuber, whose profile picture got stolen, so they're able to easily compare the two. You can end it there. f•] Or you can add: "The unknown user is impersonating verified YouTuber xy/(Jake Broe in this example) and there's also reasonable suspicion of scam attempts" g•] Then just hit "send", that's it and it only takes 2 to 10 minutes, depending on your own technical skills. Due to already being on the impersonators channel, adding their URL logically isn't required. I've learned about this a week ago and I absolutely love the method! I only use this one, bc it's undeniably WAY more effective ... basically it's 1 shot and the scammer needs a different number to continue their scam-attempts. [[ 2) I'll also mention this one, to show the difference, but tbh I don't recommend it at all. The 3 dots besides the scammer's comment allow to "report" and you'll already see there, that the options you're getting are stupid and very limited ... basically you can only use "spam" or something. This method requires mass reporting of (God knows how) many people and it only temporarily "shądoøw bąns" the comment, most times the "reported" scammer-comment will be back on the same place, when you return to the same thread later on, if not enough people have mass reported it - basically you're føøling yourself and you're wasting your time with this "reporting-method"!!! ]] By using the first method, not only is the scammer's comment gone forever, but also the scammer's fake-account has become USELESS for further attempts to scam more people out of their life savings. (I highly suspect, it's partially also Russian trølls scamming pro-Ukrainian commenters). That's what I call a success! Have a great time doing it and collectively helping to protect fellow less experienced unexpecting commenters from fraud, y'all! PS. Folks, PLEASE keep in mind, this first method is only to avoid criminality! Don't use it in an attempt to silence people, just bc you don't agree with their opinions. WE'RE BETTER THAN THAT!
