Very impressive, that some Russian POW have the guts to contact Dima or his journalist collegue Volodymyr from russia, after their exchange and return "home" ... these ~20 Russians are the only ones, who get a capital R from me for their curage.
I remember, many had promised to stay in contact afterwards, but from several hundred POW the Ukrainian journalists have interviewed, only ~20 have kept their promises so far.
Please stay strong Ukraine, in the west we private people are donating for drones, armored trucks and other equipment - those of us who've no money are moderating pro-Ukrainian fundraiser channels, everybody's doing something to help - even when our own leaders are too weak and scared to do more.
That's actually my greatest concern at the moment, that voting might not be enough - bc we haven't realized early on, how much ru propaganda has undermined our democracies in the past decades - and I'm not even talking about the US, it's unfortunately the same in European countries
Sometimes I hear people speak about ru talking points, then I make sure to debate them, sadly it's a lot like treating mental illness, it takes lots of time and patience ... guess you Ukrainian journalists can easily understand what I mean.
I'm actually surprised, how well you two get along and I wonder, wether you were able to spend so much time with the ru POW, or wether it was the summery of all their experiences in Ukraine and with Ukrainians, that finally convinced them that their invasion is totally unprovoked and pointless ... wish, I could make all our western pro-ru see this, I share the links left and right, but not all are willing to pay attention and watch your videos.
Slava Ukraine, HEROYAM SLAVA!

Yeah I've heard the exact same thing - but I also heard (and I think this is true as well), that the kremlin almost always works with small "stepping stones", when limiting the few remaining freedoms, their people still have left - so I guess, in the near future they'll shut it down entirely and simply blame the West for it; and that's how they usually avoid too much anger which could easily lead to riots.
The only time the kremlin didn't do it this way was their so called "partial*" mobilisation (Sept 21st 2022) and it instantly backfired as it lead to mass emigration, at first mostly their military aged men fled and after they had settled down in other countries, lots of their families followed them later on.
* & Even with their highly unpopular 2022 mobilisation, the kremlin had tried hard to play it down, by calling it "partial" - implying it'd be "no big deal" and claiming it'd concern "only ~300k men" - the obvious lack of overview and not existent reliable guarantee that it'll truly be a limited number had the opposite effect though, it scared the better educated ru badly, not only did they not fall for it, but those who somehow could afford (or borough) it fled regardless of the kremlin's wishy-washy vague wording "partial".
