@somedude2433 Hitler was not a Socialist. He murdered thousands of socialists in his concentration camps. Hitler was extremely pro-capitalists and did lots of favors for big business. He used the term socialism to lure workers into his web and then created a regime that banned labor unions. Refusing to retain someone in the faculty because they subscribe to socialists political views is totally undemocratic and I want nothing to do with it. A teachers personal politics is none of anyone's business unless they have some kind of racist ideology.

The American government is "By the people," and as such any actions taken by our government are done with the people's consent. This is not some kind of authoritarian state like Russia under Putin. Our laws are made by a congress elected by the people in a free and fair election process.

@somedude2433 It is the actions taken by a government that determine its position on the political spectrum, not the size of the bureaucracy. The size of the German government didnt really increase by that much under Hitler with the one exception of the military. It was the MASSIVE size of the military that was of concern to the other major powers in Europe and destabilized international relations, not the size of the bureaucracy which was more or less on par with other major powers.That growth was necessitated by the need to win the support of the military class and for Hitler to pursue his agenda of ridding Europe of Jews and communists. Hitler's regime DID NOT stress the group over the individual, it stressed the idea that Germany was a nation of supermen who's destiny it was to rule the world and any cost. The fact that you have never read Hitler's book seriously hurts your argument. How can you understand the political nature of the man and his party if you refuse to read his book or listen to what he is saying? Unlike Donald Trump, Hitler did his own writing!
