@george_wbranchaud_jr2211 True, but it’s gone. The oldest septuagint we have is from like 400AD. Meaning it’s a translation, and copy of a copy of a copy and so on.

@morlewen7218 ”Corrupted” haha. No it’s called Oral Traditions. The Septuagint is based off a different oral tradition, same for the DSS, & Masoretic text, it’s why none all 100% agree. You really think from Mount Sinai to 100AD every Hebrew letter was preserved?? No Oral Traditions within the communities made their way into Scriptures. You say “corrupted” because you’re not Jewish and don’t like that we changed our OWN scriptures.

@clouds-rb9xt and Islam superseded Christianity. It’s why Islam is growing, and Christianity is falling.

@saulm58 A translation older than the original is worth nothing. Nevermind the fact you don’t even have the original Septuagint. The Septuagint is worthless now that the Dead Sea Scrolls have been discovered too.

@jflaplaylistchannelunoffic3951 No, it’s differing oral traditions. The Oral traditions that creeped into scripture when copied by Scribes is why DSS, Septuagint and Masoretic sometimes disagree with each other. I’ll place money on if a manuscript that’s found to be older then the DSS to disagree with the DSS. It’s just differing oral traditions. Hence why the Talmud was created.
