  2.  @mikeincalifornia  what Americans choose to pay their doctors is their business. Young doctors in California have to pay for their own education and training and do not rely on taxpayers to foot the bill as they do in Britain. And I’ve got some news for you; all doctors are not uniformly competent - it is patently absurd to suggest otherwise. It is therefore wrong that a poorly educated, badly trained, incompetent British doctor should expect to be paid the same as a highly educated, properly trained, competent Californian doctor. You cannot say they are underpaid just because they have the Dr title in front of their name - that is simplistic thinking.
