  9. Real terms pay cuts only apply to low paid workers - junior doctors pay has increased over the past 14 years - if a first year junior doctor receives £58k per annum with enhancements for working a 56 hour week the average hourly rate is a lot higher than the minimum wage.

  11.  @thesaltbaron2237  Only the first 40 hours would be paid at £14 per hour - the extra 16 hours would be paid at an extremely generous much higher rate so your representation that an FY1 junior doctor would only receive £40k for a 56 hour week is false and misleading to anyone who doesn’t know better.
