  7.  @marktan3327  Indeed - doctors in the USA have to fund their own education and training unlike entitled British junior whingers who can rely on the nanny state.

  8.  @marktan3327  but US doctors have to take out loans for the full cost of their education while their UK counterparts borrow £50k and rely on the nanny state for 80% of their tuition fees. Also US doctors work much longer hours and have to take out expensive professional liability insurance while UK doctors rely on the taxpayer to pay compensation claims and associated legal costs when (as often happens) they commit acts of clinical negligence.
