  1. I work for a New Zealand exporter. We still export to EU and UK is still just going to follow the same rules as it makes no sense to reinvent the wheel. It just means more bureaucrats and paperwork. On a personal note I have been getting car parts from the UK for many years. Parts that took a week to arrive 10 years ago now takes 3 months. Similar parts from EU or USA arrive in 2 weeks.

  2. @@Royal_Fortune and the positive effects are what? We are still sending the stuff using EU guidelines. It will be at a cost to the UK to impose Their own rules.

  3. @@Royal_Fortune The separate compliance and bureaucracy has to be paid for, by the British consumer. When the UK was part of the EU then that cost was shared by all countries. The irony is the UK will just use EU guidelines anyway. To do otherwise would be nuts. I have already pointed out that importing from UK to NZ is tedious now. That is a negative effect.
