@wsbill14224 Wasn't the main scandal not that the car was any more risky than other cars or any more prone to fire but an internal Ford memo was leaked discussing the cost of a recall at a nominal cost per car. Ford by it's own admission put a price on their customers lives. They deemed it more economical to pay out on the small number of deaths expected.
