  1. Seems to be a lot of confusion as to whether first rotor is supercharger. The whole motor is just a 2stage engine in the same vein as a double/triple expansion steam engine. The first rotor is a low compression engine and the second a high compression. The gases are compressed in 2 stages and then expanded in 2 stages. Look up double expansion steam engine as probably easier to visualise.
