  2. I have been a refrigeration engineer for more than 20 years and never seen one of these units. (New Zealand) Even the window units are rare. I have only ever installed one. Virtually all are the split type and reversible as heating required in winter. I now work with an ammonia based system 3MW (10million btu)

  4. I have a 15A 240V socket in my workshop. Great for the compressor and welders. It gives me 3.5kW from a simple socket. Off the single phase circuit, no special wiring required.

  5. I suspect the all red lights are simply USA belligerence. There is another red light. The Rear fog lamp. Often abused by people who don't know what they are for. (tip: when foggy) Another use is for tail-gaters (not sure of US translation). I had a car up my arse (ass for US readers) at 70mph. I flicked on the rear fogs and did he back off in a hurry.
