  1. Xenophobia isn't patriotism, and the Republican party leadership is an unreliable narrator on all matters, and especially foreign policy and trade. While recognizing the very real threat to Taiwan posed by Chinese military aggression, I am not going to take any advice from a Republican on anything until they prove their party is legitimate again, and doesn't merely comprise a white nationalist insurgency fueled and funded by billionaire corporate monopolists parading around in the garb of a legitimate political party.
