David Gergen gave us Reagan and the beginning of the end of a reality based Republican party. He is directly responsible for helping turn the Republican party from conservative to white nationalist. He's got no integrity on this issue and Fareed is a neoliberal falling back on supply side stupidity. Period.
2
Taking power by force is fascism. The extremist faction of the Republican party is openly advocating for violence unless they get their way and the mainstream faction of the Republican party is not holding the extremists accountable for their fascist rhetoric, nor their insurrection of January 6th.

We have reports of forced labor camps being run by the Russians, and Russia has announced their forced evacuations of Ukrainians to Russia. If Israel can't stand more forcefully against Russia, it needs better leaders or some major national introspection.

@AkonFenty1992 - Tell FOX's Executive Vice President, Kevin Lord. "In the memo, which was sent out on Tuesday to Fox Corporation employees, Kevin Lord, the company’s executive vice-president, announced that more than 90% of the company’s full-time employees had been vaccinated, CNN first reported on Tuesday night." Source: Nearly all Fox staffers vaccinated for Covid even as hosts cast doubt on vaccine: More than 90% of Fox Corporation staff inoculated, according to memo announcing daily testing for unvaccinated employees The Guardian, September 15, 2021

@justathought4675 - It's a reasonable inference, and one shared by many. Additionally, there's no functioning political spectrum anymore. There's a radicalized white nationalist base -- enraged, frightened and deployed by a controlling oligarchichal business class -- running roughshod over the Republican party as the mainstream liberals that form the controlling base of the Democratic party defend the democratic Republic and maintain, and struggle to expand, a comparatively anemic social democracy.
2
Frankly, you can keep all your thoughts and prayers unmatched with a voting record for candidates who back better firearm safety laws, like 98% of Democrats and 2% of Republicans.
2
The Republican party is corrupt to its core and is likely irredeemable at this point. It no longer stands for conservative values, it stands for itself and itself alone.
2
Escrow Russia's profits. Genius!
2
I don't care what strategists think or say, I care about what the Republican party leadership is going to do. They literally said, "the Democrats will take care of Trump for us". They are cowards passing the buck on holding their members to the law and ethical standards.
2
@hollyrae1101 - We haven't left NATO, and have never been a member of OPEC, though we have wielded influence via allies, weapons dealing, and diplomatic efforts regarding OPEC. The plain fact is, the US and UK wouldn't likely ever become members, mostly because it was created to counterbalance British and American monopolistic and exploitative practices.
2
These are the words of an accomplice after the fact, not a patriot, Buck.
2
The fastest economic recovery in history. There is no comparison between the threat inflation poses to the American people and the threat the corruption and treason within the Republican party poses to the American people. We will get through global inflation with the same competent leaders who got us through a global pandemic. We will not survive with a nation at all recognizable to our founders if the Republican party isn't held accountable, including by their own voters, and reformed.
2
It's the white nationalism, st%pid.
2
If you've seen the endemic coup plotting and stochastic terrorism up close, like Cruz's aide has, and you're still a Republican, then you are a traitor.
2
It's just free airing of disinformation when anyone of Putin's cadre is "interviewed".
2
@jessicalucero3271 - More to the point, how many were able to get a gun because of Republicans' fealty to the gun industry[?]
2
@keneilstrachan2439 - 2008 was the beginning of getting their country compliant with the requirements for acceptance, not the point of an application for membership. They never applied, and shelved plans to apply in 2010 after (at the time) Putin-supported Viktor Yanukovuch was elected under allegations of election fraud.
2
Your criticism of Trump must've been as keen at the time he dramatically increased civilian casualties, I'm sure. "Trump pledged to stop 'endless wars' but his airstrikes in Afghanistan increased civilian deaths by 330% since 2016"

Phoenix Ghosts are going to haunt the Russian forces.

Pre-taped deza is the laziest deza. Deza is shorthand for дезинформация, transliterated as dezinformatsiya, or disinformation.

@yehimstone5492 - The fact is...we don't know, and in large part because "Rogan's Recipe" of pre-infection immune system targeted supplements and habits, as well as the post-infection regimen he used involved numerous items and habits, not just Ivermectin. Additionally, he might've just been one of the people who have no symptoms or mild symptoms regardless of his unique intake of things and general health habits. "Even though Rogan apparently did manage to avoid more serious consequences of Covid-19, it’s not clear which of the “therapeutics” that he had taken if any may have made any difference. For example, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Covid-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel does recommend the use of certain anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibody regimens under certain circumstances. However, the Panel also has determined that there is insufficient evidence there is “insufficient evidence” for them “to recommend either for or against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of Covid-19.” When you do multiple things, it’s hard to tell which can take the credit. Plus, a sizeable percentage of people infected with the Covid-19 coronavirus do end up having milder illness." https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucelee/2021/10/15/joe-rogan-suggested-getting-vaccinated-then-getting-covid-19-for-more-protection/

Deluded criminals with a sexual predation problem are a Republican staple after Donald Trump.
2
@ButlerJ2 - Again, we'll have to agree to disagree about the nature of this reporting and the motivations behind it. Best of the season to you and yours.
2
Rule by fiat and force its fascism. The Republican party is embracing fascism. Vote Democrat or aid fascism. Full stop.
2
Coup is a perfectly apt word. Euphemisms aren't necessary.
2
@Teratology - "In his $2 trillion infrastructure plan, Biden proposed a sweeping investment in green energy such as wind, solar and other renewable energy projects. In an effort to help fossil fuel workers transition to new jobs, the plan also includes billions of dollars to employ dislocated utility workers in the coal, oil and gas industries." You are undermining your own credibility when you lie or don't know the facts.
2
Theocratic-minded white nationalism owns the Republican party. Trump is just attaching his brand name to the long-standing white nationalism. The Democratic party was home to this often terrorist faction until 1964's passage of the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act made them move to the Republican party.
2
It's not."Biden's Agenda", it's the country's business he was elected to conduct. Those national priorities voters elected him to make progress on are: 1. Preserve our democracy, threatened by the white nationalist and autocratic-minded Republican party. 2. Fix infrastructure that's crumbling because of Republican service to corporate greed and Republican legislative ineptitude. 3. Address the deadly legacy of white supremacy, the injustice it causes and work to save Black lives from homicidal police policies and conduct. 4. Fight climate catastrophe and reduce greenhouse gases. 5. Take the pandemic seriously and save lives. 6. Address the crushing economic climate and forecast for young Americans facing unparalleled fiscal challenges. 7. Restore the country's standing in the world and repair damage caused by the belligerent and fascistic Republican foreign policy.
2
Valid to you, sure. Valid under the Geneva conventions, no.
2
@Rasmajnoon - So far, we have only claims from partial sources. Russia says it's killed more than 180 foreigners, Ukraine says zero. You are a Putin lackey, so the facts aren't important to you, however.
2
Helen R - Yes, they sure did. They are part of the National Guard, formally. "A few months after recapturing the strategic port city of Mariupol from the Russian-backed separatists, the unit was officially integrated into the National Guard of Ukraine on November 12, 2014, and exacted high praise from then-President Petro Poroshenko."
2
@karsaorlong3761 - No evidence for that claim outside of Russian's unreliable state sources. Additionally, the missiles Russia used are some of the oldest hypersonic military tech on the planet, from 1985 designs updated with Western chips and Russian AI to be steerable. It's not as impressive as Russia wants it to appear
2
@zebrazagadore4827 - Done. Thank you for correcting my incorrect use of language.

Arwa Damon's coverage (2:48) is stellar here, imo.

Therapeutics are to treat people with severe illness due to COVID. Vaccines are to prevent infection, or severe illness and death if infection still occurs. There's no benefit to taking the therapeutics before you're ill, as they don't prevent infection, and won't stay in your system long enough to help if you do contract COVID after taking the therapeutics. The antibodies produced by your immune system when vaccinated will stay in your system for months to years, depending on your immune response and which vaccine you choose.
2
@thomasbailey921 - She said the vaccines are a treatment. They are not, they are a prophylaxis. The confusion she expressed with her comment is clear.
2
@thefarmersdaughter8235 - If Ivermectin prevents serious illness or death¹ it's also prophylaxis, not treatment. Additionally, in Japan it's allowed to be prescribed by doctors, but it is not a government approved treatment, nor a government approved preventative/prophylaxis for COVID-19. The biggest factors in the improvements in outcomes in Japan come from mandatory quarantine for all foreign travelers arriving in Japan, high vaccination rates (more than 77% of the population is fully vaccinated), mask wearing, social distancing and good levels of testing. ___________________________ ¹ as of now the research as a whole doesn't support Ivermectin's efficacy as prophylaxis or treatment for COVID-19.
2
@thefarmersdaughter8235 - Since Ivermectin is over the counter, nothing is stopping you.
2
@thefarmersdaughter8235 - I got your point, though I appreciate your reiterating it. I never claimed vaccines treat COVID-19. Likewise I wouldn't call seatbelts a treatment for injuries caused by a car accident.
2
@thefarmersdaughter8235 - I will wait for better research before second guessing the decision on Ivermectin.
2
@thefarmersdaughter8235 Best of luck to you with it. I wish you protection and health, regardless of the route you choose.
2
@mshinn13 - You not knowing how to use Google isn't my problem.
2
They don't care, as long as those they want to suffer suffer more. The cruelty, white nationalism, and bigotry are.features, not bugs.

The event timeline begins here: "He legally purchased two AR platform rifles from a federally licensed gun store on two days: May 17 — just a day after his birthday — and May 20, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said, according to a briefing that state Sen. John Whitmire, chair of the Senate Criminal Justice Committee, received from state authorities late Tuesday. The gunman bought 375 rounds of 5.56-caliber ammunition on May 18."
2
If you vote for Republicans who aren't willing to pass rational legislation to save lives -- and 99.99% of those politicians are Republicans -- you don't care that the number one cause of death for U.S. children is now death by firearm.
2
@SolSystemDiplomat - Sh!tposters are as valuable as the ruble in this market. Good luck.
2
Democrats delivering!

Wrong. The U.S. Soccer women's team pays for the men currently. U.S. Soccer isn't the same as commercial teams..
