  1. "Love it or leave it" is one of the least patriotic things any US citizen or resident can say. Not to mention it is anathema to our collective civic mission to continuously perfect this union. We were the founded -- albeit hypocritically -- on an idea; that all are created equal, that we all hold the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Without the labor of enslaved Africans, indigenous peoples and other immigrants, as well as voluntary immigration and the intermittent influx of refugees, the United States of America would never have existed at all, nor could it have become a superpower. Isolationism is delusion and decay.
