He is the embodiment of the Republican party today. If they don't want him, reform the party and hold the traitors accountable.

@almostthere2024 - The For the People Act and the compromise lesser bill, the Freedom to Vote Act. The Democrats have been working for years on paying legislation to address these things you laid out. "The Senate’s recently introduced Freedom to Vote Act (FTVA) incorporates most of the critical provisions from the For the People Act (FTPA), landmark voting rights and anti-corruption legislation that passed the House of Representatives in March 2021. It also includes new, much-needed safeguards against attempts to undermine the electoral process." "Nevertheless, the FTVA is compromise legislation that reflects important concessions responsive to critics of the FTPA, including both Republicans and moderate Democrats, such as Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia (an original sponsor of the FTVA)." - Key Differences Between the For the People Act and the Freedom to Vote Act - Nov 17, 2021 - The Brennan Center

Unconstitutional and increase corruption. The Democrats have passed bills to fix money in politics over a dozen times since the Citizens United ruling. Why won't Republicans even debate, let alone vote, " those bills? The GOP voted UNANIMOUSLY against relieving the baby formula crisis and cracking down on the rampant price gouging by fuel companies reaping record profits. The Republican party can't govern, only sow manufactured grievance.

@sergeant_salty - The For the People Act is comprehensive and has been passed by Democrats three times. The Republican party is corrupt and won't even debate the bill.

@Nathan Z Solomon - When the Republican party spends a half century implementing the vision and plan laid out by the Powell Memo and have constantly undermined democracy as a specific and discreet part of that process, as Powell intended it to be, means that they are very much responsible. Many of your proposals are either in existence, like Ballotpedia and Open Secrets, or are a part of the proposals put forth by Democrats with very little support and much open hostility from Republicans.

@Nathan Z Solomon - You aren't an impartial observer, just a right winger without a home pretending you're not partisan. Own what you are. Read up before you assert things that aren't true. And found, find, or fund a real conservative party to replace the autocratic white nationalist Republican party.
