Ethno-nationalism, like Azov's, is fueled and funded by Putin's regime and Russian oligarchs allied with him. It is a strategy to use these beliefs to incite terrorism and destabilize liberal democracies he has made into his enemies through this and other attacks on their sovereignty. Ethno-nationalist terrorists are a tool Putin uses. He only opposes Azov because that group is killing Russian forces. "uses the internet to recruit new members and then radicalizes them to use violence to pursue its white identity political agenda"...so, like the current Republican party or Putin's Russia?
