You get vaccinated and boosted as needed if you want the best protection against hospitalization, disabling illness and death from COVID-19. The more unvaccinated people there are, the more mutations the virus can make, producing new, potentially more lethal, variants. Be kind. Get vaccinated. Save lives. Maybe your own.

The reason is simple, if you limit spread, you reduce the number of mutations. The best way to limit the spread is to increase vaccination and boosting rates. @hitreset0291 - Infection by Omicron, a variant possible because of the wide spread caused by so many unvaccinated people in the world. Science, unlike religion, doesn't care if you believe it or not. That more spread means more mutations and that more unvaccinated people means more spread is simply what the science has shown.
