  1. There was one time in U.S. history when Democrats had 60 votes in the Senate and control of the House, it lasted four years. That time was 1975-1979. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema are blocking eliminating the filibuster. There's been literally thousands of fantastic bills passed by Democrats -- including the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act -- [that] have been blocked by the Republican minority and the anachronistic filibuster rules that their predecessor white nationalists established to shut down a real Reconstruction in the 1860s and the Civil Rights Movement's momentum in the legislature in the 1960s. The only solution we have -- no matter how many people dislike it -- is to donate, volunteer, and get out the vote. We have roughly two months left now before the most important election ever for the U.S.
