@blacsteve - You've gone from claiming there is no famine, to blaming the famine on European countries. You came with an agenda and you aren't a serious person regarding facts. Bye.

@blacsteve - You clearly did not go everywhere in Africa. The famine is real and worsening.

@blacsteve - The fact [is there is] a worsening global food crisis mainly caused by climate change, and made much worse by Russia's geopolitical extortion scheme. "More than 23 million people are experiencing extreme hunger in Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya, according to a new report by Oxfam and Save the Children. That's up from over 10 million last year." "The region's worst drought in 40 years is being exacerbated by conflict and the pandemic. And the war in Ukraine has sent food prices soaring to record levels."
3
@blacsteve - People starving don't choose to eat grain or not, they don't even choose to eat or not -- it is an unavoidable condition.
3
Russia alone, not Ukraine or Turkey, is responsible for grain being unable to get to Africa. Don't blame parties who have made numerous concessions and accommodations in order to try to keep the grain shipping.
2
@blacsteve - Putin doesn't love you back.

@fon9293 - All this is not relevant to whether there is a famine. There is. Denialism that there is a famine should be countered because it is disinformation with an immediate real human cost. There is a famine. Grain or not is a discussion that's outside of my assertion; there is a famine and Russia cynically worsened it for geopolitical gain.

@MaLiArtworks186 - Okay. I am 100% for local, sustainable, and hunger alleviating farming anywhere and everywhere. That suggestion doesn't change the fact that Putin/Russia worsened this famine brought about mainly by drought, the pandemic, and climate change.
