Sorry doc, but the professional guides were experts not her, they knew exactly how dangerous it was to keep going. They had a duty of care that ought to have overborne all other considerations. And there were a lot of disputes about exactly who did what in the disaster.

@dawsonweber99 She deferred to his judgementit wasn't too risky, she was an amateur, he was a professional who took her money , but that was not a licensee to take her into something that was far riskier than she realised. The best understanding of the potential dangers was his, that knowledge was what he was getting paid to use in making the final decision.

She was paying handsomely to climb Everest and get back safely. He took her money and did not want to give it back so he preferred to put her (and everyone else) in harms way.
