  4. If you saw one you would perceive its behaviour and appearance as that of a big ape. Neanderthals could not run, jump. or throw spears. They hadn't the brains to organise for war against other groups. They might well kill an isolated modern human that was wandered into a dark forest, but otherwise they were no match for Cro-Magnons.

  5. I can't believe any human would try and mate with an unfamiliar Neanderthal. Much more likely they killed all adults but sometimes have left infant Neanderthals and brought them home as pets for the human children. Females would be less dangerous, and more likely to be fed and allowed to mature; they could be mated with quite easily.

  6. Cro Magnons only had to outrun Neanderthals. Moreover the Neanderthals seem to have been restricted to living in caves and hunting in forests. Venturing out onto the icy windblown steppe tundra to prey on the huge herds of very mobile reindeer was something that only modern humans eventually had the technology to do (tents , tailored clothing, spear throwers).
