  1. I gotta admit the explanation of Ukraine 's attritional withdrawal tactic is pretty good. But why can't Russians around Bakhnut have their own non urban version of it: pre register their positions with artillery then blast hell out of those positions when Ukraine attacks and occupies them? By the same token, why could the Ukrainians not reoccupy the positions after springing their tactical trap? Hmmm.
