Anders seems to genuinely believe Ukraine will win this way Not 'can' in theory but actually will. What makes him think so?

@freedomfighter22222 The US could have supported an indefinite effort in Vietnam economically, but that was academic because there was no end in sight and so what was the point. Nothing is ever spelled out about how Ukraine is going to actually win. Insofar as there is a Ukraine wins scenario, it seems to be an unspoken one that that the Russians are suddenly going to realise they are losing and quit, but why would Russia be constrained to that 'we have lost' reaction to losing instead of a more pugnacious response?

@Tom_Quixote I think it was fun for him at first.. He actually says in this one that it is not clear who is winning, which is a lot more downbeat than his usual summary. Reading between the lines, I think he is becoming a lot less sanguine about Ukraine's prospects.

@GalAxy-u9s I think this whole thing is the tail wagging the dog because countries like Poland and Denmark were instrumental in pushing for Ukraine to be in Nato.

Seven hundred thousand military age Ukrainian men have left the country since the invasion and 200, 000 are in Germany living on their generous full state benefits as ' conscientious objectors'. Yet even though many left the country and of those still in it no one under 25 has to serve in the Ukrainian armed forces, Russia cannot take Kharkov, which is less than 20 miles from the Russian border. Ukraine has to be admitted to Nato to defend it but if Ukraine loses Russia is supposed to keep going and attack Nato countries, so what use in Nato membership for Ukraine then?
